Focus: YANTRA -the score
A yantra is a mystical diagram that intensifies energy channels in the body: it transmits an inner experience rather than an outer form. Yantras intensify energy channels in the body.

Henri Michaux was obviously influenced by yantras in his desire to create ’scores’ from his mescaline and psilocybin experiments. He calls the great Sri Yantra, ‘the matrix of forms’ in apoem entitled Yantra. He was using drugs to channel the unknown and then wanting to recall and transmit some of the experiences.
The scores we are listening for, would reveal ways of moving that are attuned to the unknown. These ways of moving, can be assisted by breath, sound, utterance, repetition. This is where the AI model can assist us.
I have questions and thoughts as we start this second week:
How and why am I interacting with AI?
How and why is Mika making indigo?
Does the AI support my movement, does it act as a collaborator or a tool, what is the difference?
How is it different working with one ‘voice’ versus three?
How does voice or sound change the quality of movement?
The sensors act as ‘tongues’ transforming the sound, BUT unpredictably.
Go back to wobble, words, repeat. Start from silence to sense the difference.
Can this model be used in the creation/invention of ‘rituals of endings’?
How can I score Wobble Words Repeat? Separate the scores into these 3 proto-categories.
Who is the score for? First it must be for me. A way to chart the development of ‘knowing’ the AI. Then, it becomes a mnemonic device a reminder of the order of the ritual. In the I-Ching the lines fomed into hexagrams are a notation of sorts.
The main aspect of my movement research is the sensation of lightness and weight; not as forms such as in ballet, but as inner sensations that trouble the sense of transparency of the body; they pull the body out of forgetfullness of its matter so that self-materiality comes into the foreground.
How is the indigo process reminder – a way to remember ‘what we do not know we know’?
Can a notation of lightness and heaviness be developed from the indigo prints?
Mika is starting Ai-date, a process of “building” an indigo fermentation vat. I mix 1kg of Sukumo with ash water. This is “konton/ 混沌”, the primordial soup of Indigo, the start of things to happen.
