June 21 (Saturday) 14:00 – 16:00 at the Backsteinboot (Eiswerderstraße 18, Gebäude 129 4th floor, 13585 Berlin)
Dominique Savitri Bonarjee and Mika Satomi present work from the seed phase of a body-sound installation, Scores of Unknowing: ai and AI
How can we imagine rituals of endings?
During our 3 weeks residency at the Backsteinboot Berlin, we explored neural audio synthesis to create feedback loops from chance noise, chatter, song, and instruments. Could the sound output become a disembodied choreographic voice? The process of fermentation involved in making indigo dye, provides an analogue sounding board, training us in being more open to unpredictable outcomes.
The sharing will be a durational performance lasting approximately 2 hours. The audience may roam in the space, and come and go at any point during the piece. You are also welcome to stay for the entire duration. We are planning a short Q&A session after the performance ends, with snacks and drinks.
The project is funded by the Hibou Stiftung, Switzerland.
